Man found dead behind his house in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 24 -- The body of a 26-year-old man was found in a field behind his house in Usari Mehandipur village, under Phulpur police station limits, on Tuesday morning. The man was identified as Surendra, a resident of the village.
Police said Surendra's body was found about 50 metres from his home, hidden among fodder and paddy crops. His family suspects foul play and has accused two local youths, Sanjay and Lalji, of murder. They claim the accused forced Surendra to drink alcohol before killing him. An FIR has been filed against the two men, and both have been taken into custody for questioning. Preliminary post-mortem examination reports show Surendra died from a serious head injury, likely caused by a heavy blow, said assistant commissioner of Police Vivek Yadav.
Surendra lived with his brother in the family home, while his parents and other siblings lived in a nearby village. He worked supplying fodder to local brick kilns. Surendra went out with the two accused around 9 pm on Monday but did not return. Villagers found his body early Tuesday morning while going to the fields. The police continue to investigate. htc...
