Prayagraj, Nov. 23 -- Head constable Ramesh Singh, posted at Aung police station in Fatehpur district, died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in the Nawabganj area of Prayagraj late on Thursday night. The accident took place near Shringverpur while he was on his way back to Prayagraj, police said. According to a complaint filed by his son, Raghavendra Pratap Singh, was returning home to Shantipuram on his motorcycle after his approved leave on November 21 . At around 10.30 pm, an unidentified vehicle travelling at high speed struck his motorcycle near Shringverpur. The impact threw him onto the road, causing severe injuries. Shringverpur police outpost in-charge, SI Anurag Sharma, reached the location with his team soon after receiving information. With the help of passers-by, the injured officer was taken by ambulance to CHC Kaudihar, where doctors declared him dead....
