Meerut, June 27 -- Moradabad Police have filed a 200- page detailed chargesheet against 35-year-old truck driver Shane Ali alias Rehan, accused of murdering his wife over a property dispute. He allegedly beheaded her with a gardening tool and disposed of her severed head in the Gagan river. Shane, from Dingarpur in the Mainather area, was arrested nearly a month after the crime. The 200-page chargesheet includes statements from the victim's parents and children, along with key digital and forensic evidence.
Tabassum, the victim, was from Chuha Nagla in Bhagatpur. She had five children from her first marriage to Asif of Karula. After Asif's death, she married Shane Ali. He then used a khurpi (a sharp gardening tool) to cut off her head.
Shane buried Tabassum's torso by digging a pit beneath the staircase inside their house, while he discarded her severed head in the Ganga river. He also took her mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
Nearly a month after the murder, police arrested Shane. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. SP city Kumar Ranvijay Singh confirmed that the investigation is complete and the chargesheet has been submitted to court. "Digital and forensic evidence, along with statements from the victim's parents and children, have been included in the chargesheet.
