Haldwani, Dec. 30 -- Three people were arrested in for robbing man on gunpoint, in Ramnagar, police said, adding that the accused also allegedly assaulted, verbally abused and issued death threats against him. The incident took place on December 26, but came to light after a video of the assault went viral on social media, they said. According to police, Shubham Kashyap, a resident of Bhawaniganj in Ramnagar, filed a complaint stating that on December 26, Sameer Khan lured him onto a motorcycle and forcibly abducted him. Along with his accomplices, the accused allegedly assaulted Shubham, hurled abuses, threatened to kill him and snatched his wallet at gunpoint. Based on the complaint, police registered an FIR under sections 140(4), 309(4), 351(3), 352, 115(2), 126(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with section 3/25 of the Arms Act. Ramnagar inspector Sushil Kumar said all the accused involved in the incident were arrested from Ramnagar. "The police team recovered the wallet, the firearm used in the crime and the motorcycle from the accused," he said. The arrested people were identified as Sameer Khan, Ishan Khan, and Rehan Alvi, all from different areas in Ramnagar. Police recovered a .315 bore pistol and the motorcycle from Sameer Khan, the stolen black wallet from Ishan alias Pavva, and the victim's Aadhaar card from Rehan Alvi, the inspector added....
