LUCKNOW, Oct. 2 -- A man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly molesting a 6-year-old girl in the Bazaarkhala police station, police said. "The accused, identified as Anwar, has been taken into custody and a case registered under sections 75(2)/76 of the BNS and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," the police said. The victim's mother stated in her complaint that the girl was playing outside the house on Tuesday when the accused, a neighbour, lured her into his house, where he allegedly molested her. However, as the girl started crying, the accused got cold feet and the girl ran back to her home. Inspector, Bazaarkhala, Brijesh Singh confirmed that the minor victim's medical examination had been conducted. "The accused is in custody and will be produced before the court," he added....
