Man alleges negligencein father's care at KGMU
LUCKNOW, Oct. 5 -- A video which went viral on social media on Friday exposed the state of affairs at one of the most prominent state-run medical institutions in Lucknow. The video featured a distressed young man, Ankit Mishra, crying and pleading for help while his father, Ramakant Mishra, was battling for life at Lari Cardiology, KGMU, late Thursday night.
In the video, he appealed directly to deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak. Ankit claimed that his father was left unattended for nearly an hour in the emergency ward, while a doctor allegedly used abusive language. KGMU spokesperson Dr KK Singh claimed that the patient was shifted to the ICU and discharged after his condition stabilised.
Ankit told HT it was only after the deputy CM Pathak intervened that his father was admitted to the ICU. He said he discharged his father from KGMU and admitted him to a private hospital.HTC...
