PRAYAGRAJ, July 1 -- The main accused in the kidnapping of a child playing near his house late on June 17 night and demanding ransom of Rs 5 lakh was arrested by police on Sunday night in Pratapgarh. One of the accused in the case had earlier been arrested and sent to jail. The accused has been identified as Hrithik Yadav alias Anoop Yadav, a resident of Aghori-Ki-Bazar in Laru village of Kunda. As per reports, Suresh Patel, a resident of Jugai-Ka-Purwa Kadrau under Nawabganj police station area had given a complaint to the police on June 18 alleging that his ten-year-old son was missing since 2 am in the night. A man had called on his mobile phone and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh and threatened to kill his son if the money was not given. On the complaint, the police registered a report against unknown people and after searching the location of the accused through surveillance, arrested one of the accused and recovered the kidnapped child two days later on June 20. The main accused Hrithik Yadav alias Anoop Yadav who was absconding, was arrested by SHO Santosh Singh near Chaurahi Highway on Sunday night. During interrogation, the accused admitted to demanding a ransom of Rs 5 lakh and threatening to kill the child if the money was not received. The police seized the mobile used in the crime along with the SIM and sent it to court after completing the legal process against the accused....
