LUCKNOW, May 14 -- Maharashtra teenager and unseeded Shlvtej Shirfule caused the only upset on Day Two of the ITF J30 Lucknow Tennis Tournament, outplaying fourth seeded Vivaan Bidasaria 2-1, at the Vijayant Khand stadium here on Tuesday. Shirfule proved too tough for his opponent from Madhya Pradesh as he won the first set by 6-2, before losing the second one 6-7 (3) in tie-break on the hard surface. But in decider, he kept his cool on a hot and humid day while winning the third set and match by 6-4. Top seeded Tanussh Ghildyal outplayed compatriot Om Verma 6-4, 7-5, whereas second seeded Om Patel defeated Dev Nandasana 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 also in a thriller. In other first round matches of the day, Srikar Doni beat Rishi Yadav 6-1, 6-4, Dlganth M beat Ayan Shetty 6-4, 6-2 and Aaradhya Mhasde beat Tejas Ravi 6-0, 7-5. Top seeded in girl's singles, Salyette Varadkar faced little resistance from Dhatri Dave before winning in straight sets by 6-4, 6-4, whereas third seeded Angel Patel beat Miraya Agrawal 6-3, 6-3 also in straight sets.
