PUNE, Dec. 7 -- A court in Maharashtra's Ahilyanagar district on Saturday ordered police custody of a BJP leader, arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of a 35-year-old woman, till December 9. Ahilyanagar police had arrested former councillor and BJP leader Sandeep Gaikwad on Friday after the victim was found dead at a private lodge in Pune's Kharda road on Thursday. Police did not recover a suicide note from the lodge but CCTV footage of the lodge revealed that Gaikwad visited the place before the incident.
