Mumbai, June 14 -- The breach of privilege motion moved against standup comedian Kunal Kamra has been sent to the breach of privilege motion committee headed by BJP legislator Prasad Lad. The committee is expected to send a notice to the comedian Kamra in due course. BJP legislator Pravin Darekar had, on March 26, the last day of the budget session, had moved a breach of privilege motion against Kamra for accusing him of using derogatory language against deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde. Kamra's satirical song referring to Shinde as traitor and turncoat had kicked up a political row. Since it happened during the budget session, it evoked reactions in both the houses of the legislature. Darekar had said that the comedian had insulted the popular leader and thus breached the privilege of legislature. "The committee, which is expected to meet ahead of the monsoon session, will take a call on the notice to be sent to the comedian to submit his say on the motion," said an official from Vidhan Bhavan "The committee will now take a call on further hearing and the notice to be served and summoning the comedian," said an official from the state legislature....
