Mumbai, July 24 -- Maharashtra agriculture minister Manikrao Kokate remained defiant at a press conference on Tuesday and demanded a probe into the "conspiracy", referring to the video in which he was seen playing online games on his phone while in the legislative council. However, his clarifications only served to kick up a further row, with chief minister Devendra Fadnavis snubbing him for the second consecutive day and the BJP advising him to desist from giving any more explanations. "I didn't hear what he said but if he has said something like this, then it is very wrong," Fadnavis said. BJP MLC Pravin Darekar advised Kokate to not "drag out the subject further". At a press conference, Kokate reiterated that it was an advertisement. "To play rummy, one has to register one's mobile number and link one's bank account," he said.
