Madrasas to celebrate Independence Day with patriotic fervour
Lucknow, Aug. 9 -- UP minister of state for minority welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj Danish Azad Ansari has directed all madrasas in the state to celebrate Independence Day on a grand scale.
In a letter to the principal secretary, Minority Welfare and Waqf Department, the minister said that from August 10 to 13, various programmes focusing on patriotism should be held in all madrasas.
These will include seminars, debates and painting competitions to instil pride, respect and awareness about the nation among students. He further directed that from August 13 to 15, Tiranga Yatras should be organised and the national flag must be hoisted at all madrasas. On August 15, along with the main Independence Day celebrations, madrasas have been asked to hold cleanliness drives and tree plantation programmes.
"The purpose of these programmes is to help youth and children deeply understand the story of our freedom struggle, the contribution of martyrs and the importance of the Tricolour. I urge all madrasa managers, teachers and students to celebrate this festival with enthusiasm and discipline," said the minister....
