LUCKNOW, Jan. 16 -- Spirited Lucknow won the 3x3 Senior State Basketball Championship, defeating Aligarh 22-15 at Ghaziabad on Thursday. After impressive victories over Hathras (19-15) in the quarterfinals and Ghaziabad (20-16) in the semifinals, Lucknow continued its stellar performance in the final. The team controlled the pace of the game and maintained constant pressure on their opponents. In this half-court format game, Lucknow outplayed Aligarh with excellent teamwork, speed, and tactical discipline. The winning Lucknow district team comprised Pulkit Sachdeva, Ashwani Gupta, Vijay Parmar, and Arjun Pandey. Vijay Parmar and Arjun Pandey delivered outstanding performances with their scoring abilities and defensive intensity, while Ashwani Gupta provided strength and stability to the team throughout the match. The team's coordination and fighting spirit played a crucial role in this memorable victory. It was a day of draw matches in the 3rd Pandit Ram Autar Misra Memorial Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament, at the Chandra Bhan Gupt Khel Maidan here on Thursday. The opening match between Bula Ganguli XI and vs Gandhi Club ended in a 2-2 draw, before the second match of the day between Ram Autar Mishra XI and Jaman Lal Sharma XI too witnessed a 2-2 draw. Lucknow's Manjeet Singh has been elected secretary general of the Uttar Pradesh Roller Sports Association (UPRSA), which has also been recognised by the Roller Sports Federation of India (RSFI). Jhansi's Satyaprakash Singh has been elected president, whereas Varanasi's Israr was elected as treasurer. UPSRA's elections took place under the supervision of Gulratan Singh Rathore, the observer appointed by RSFI.
