Lucknow Farmers Market hosts 'Sustainable September'
Lucknow, Sept. 9 -- Lucknow Farmers Market hosted its 'Sustainable September' event on Sunday at Habibullah Estate in Hazratganj. The market served as a vibrant platform to celebrate local farmers, craftspeople, and startups, and commemorated the 250th anniversary of the city.
The next market will be held on October 5.
The market's focus on sustainability resonated strongly with attendees, including those familiar with similar events worldwide. Organic vegetables from Mahila Sewa Trust farmers, available for weekly delivery, were a popular feature. Another major highlight was organic fruits from Uttarakhand. Jyotsna Kaur Habibullah, the founder of the Lucknow Farmers Market, said, "Sustainable September Challenge is a call to action. Let's commit to not just buying what we need, but also contributing to our farmers, especially in flood-affected regions like Punjab.
