LU signs MoU to support child care institutions
Lucknow, Sept. 8 -- The University of Lucknow (LU) has taken a significant step toward empowering women and promoting child development by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the department of women and child development.
The agreement was signed by Prof Manuka Khanna, vice chancellor of the LU, and Sandeep Kaur, director, department of women and child development. The event was attended by Justice Rajan Rai of the High Court, Lucknow Bench, and Leena Johri, principal secretary, women and child development. Justice Arun Bhansali, Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, and Justice Ajay Bhanot, chairman of the Juvenile Justice Board, also participated in the ceremony virtually.
Students from the departments of social work, sociology, psychology, the Institute of Women's Studies, and the faculty of law at the Lucknow University will engage with Child Care Institutions (CCIs) through fieldwork, internships, research projects and social impact audits.HTC...
