LT grade teacher exam shifted from Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, Jan. 8 -- The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has decided not to hold the Assistant Teacher (LT Grade) recruitment examination in Prayagraj on January 17 and 18. The decision has been taken due to the ongoing Magh Mela 2026 and its major bathing festivals. UPPSC Under Secretary Omkarnath Singh said the step was necessary to ensure smooth arrangements during the Mela period.
The examination will now be conducted in 26 other districts of the state, except Prayagraj. Candidates who were allotted centres in Prayagraj will appear for the exam at centres in other districts. UPPSC will release the admit cards for the January 17 and 18 examinations on Thursday on its official website. On January 17, examinations will be held for Social Science and Biology subject teachers. On January 18, exams are scheduled for English and Physical Education subject teachers.
The Social Science paper will be held in the first session on January 17. It will have four sections: Geography, History, Economics and Civics. Each section will have 60 questions. Candidates will have to attempt any two sections of their choice. In the OMR answer sheet, the first part will contain General Studies questions from 1 to 30. The second and third parts will be marked as Optional-1 and Optional-2. Candidates must mark the circles for their chosen subjects and answer the questions accordingly.htc...
