Lotus to bloom across the country in coming decades, says Shah
Bhopal, June 15 -- The following decades will see the lotus, the Bharatiya Janata Party's election symbol, bloom across the country, Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday at a training programme for the party's lawmakers and workers in Madhya Pradesh.
Addressing a gathering of over 200 BJP leaders and workers in Pachmarhi, Shah highlighted the role of structured training in building a cohesive and responsive political organisation that, he said, dates back to the party's Jan Sangh era.
Hailing the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah said, "The vision of a safe, developed, and prosperous great India is deeply embedded in the BJP's core, and the Modi government is bringing that vision to reality on the ground." "I can clearly see that in the coming decades, there will be only and only BJP everywhere in the country, and wherever the lotus is not yet blooming on the map of India, it certainly will bloom," he said.
Shah also listed the achievement of the government in the last 11 years. "The 11 years of the Modi government have been 11 years of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person). 26 crore people have been lifted above the poverty line. 7 crore people have received homes, electricity, water, toilets,health insurance, and farmers have received assistance of Rs.6,000," he said.
"These 11 years have also been 11 years of national security. our government has shown how a party driven by ideology works. From Jan Sangh to BJP, neither our ideology nor our resolve has changed," he said.
PM Modi's government completed 11 years on June 9.
The ruling party's 165 MLAs, 29 Lok Sabha and seven Rajya Sabha members from the state are attending the three-day training camp in Madhya Pradesh....
