Locked in parked car, another pet dies
Agra, July 13 -- A cruelty-against-animals case was registered against unidentified people when a dog, locked in a car, died in the parking of Bankey Behari temple, in Vrindavan on July 8. The FIR was filed by an animal lover at Vrindavan police station of Mathura. The owners - a couple - went for Darshan into the temple and the dog had succumbed by the time they returned.
The FIR lodged the next day recorded that those at the parking lot had warned the owner of the pet not to leave it in a locked car, in view of hot and humid weather but the owners locked the car near a hospital in Vrindavan.
The case was registered under section 325 (offence of mischief by killing or maiming an animal), 324(1) (mischief) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 11(1)(a) and 11(1)(1) of Prevention of Cruelty towards Animals Act 1960 against unidentified accused, said police at Vrindavan police station. htc...
