Locals rescue toddler from kidnapper uncle
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 21 -- A three-year-old from Madhya Pradesh was rescued by locals, who also caught his abductor, in Palpur village here on Saturday, police said. The abductor was the child's uncle, they said.
The locals grew suspicious when they saw a young man with the child, arriving on the bank of the Yamuna after crossing the river. They questioned the man and found out that he had kidnapped the child. As per reports, one Chandrama Prasad from Shahpur in the neighbouring Mauganj, Madhya Pradesh, had filed a complaint at Bawangarh police station alleging that his three-year-old son had been taken away by his brother-in-law.
