Lucknow, Nov. 16 -- The Lucknow Municipal Corporation launched a drive in Zone 3 on Thursday to enforce dog licences. Four owners paid Rs 20,000 for unlicensed pets, and a Labrador was temporarily seized, with Rs 4,000 collected as fine. Licences require a rabies certificate and Dog Control Bylaws undertaking. Officials urged all pet owners to comply. UP Housing Board held property fairs across all zones on Saturday to resolve pending cases on allotment, refunds, mutations, sale deeds, possession letters and PM Awas Yojana formalities.
