LLB student dies after speeding car hits bike in Lko's BBD area
LUCKNOW, March 17 -- A 23-year-old LLB student died after a speeding car hit his motorcycle in the BBD area of Lucknow on Monday evening, police said.
The deceased, Aryan Singh, a resident of Kalli Paschim in the PGI area, was a third-year LLB student.
According to police, he had come to college on his bike earlier in the day and was returning home around 4 pm when the accident occurred.
Near Goyal Institute, a speeding Tata Nexon allegedly rammed into his motorcycle, causing him to lose control and fall on the road. He sustained critical injuries in the crash.
A woman present at the spot alerted the police following the accident. Officers rushed to the scene and shifted Singh to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in an ambulance, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Family members claimed the student remained on the road for nearly an hour before an ambulance arrived and that excessive blood loss led to his death. Police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination.
A 40-year-old construction worker died after falling from the sixth floor of a 19-storey under-construction building in the Para area on Monday afternoon, police said. The victim, Rajendra Kumar from Chitrakoot district, was doing shuttering work when he slipped and fell around 3.30 pm. He was taken to Lokbandhu Hospital with serious injuries, where doctors declared him dead. Police sent the body for post-mortem.
