Lko varsities sign MoU with Canadian body
Lucknow, Jan. 6 -- A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday between the Canadian Hindu Chamber of Commerce (CHCC) and three universities of Uttar Pradesh to promote cooperation in academics and research.
The MoU was signed with Lucknow University, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) and Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti Language University. Governor and chancellor of State Universities Anandiben Patel said that major improvements have been made in the education and health sectors in Uttar Pradesh.
She added that universities in the state are introducing new courses and updated syllabuses. Work aligned with NAAC and NIRF standards is showing positive changes in quality. Referring to her recent visit to Gujarat, she spoke about institutions working in areas linked to national development and said such achievements were a matter of pride for the country.
The governor urged delegates to work in a timely manner. She said India should share its best achievements with the world and also learn from global practices. Naresh Kumar Chavda, trustee of the Canadian Hindu chamber of commerce, said there is growing international interest in Indian languages. He added that students from Canada will come to India to study these languages. Vice chancellors prof Manuka Khanna of Lucknow University, prof J P Pandey of AKTU and prof Ajay Taneja of KMCLU were present at the event....
