LUCKNOW, June 11 -- Seven new 'Cold Chain' centers are set to open at six primary health centres (PHCs) and two community health centres (CHCs) in Lucknow, aimed at improving vaccination accessibility for pregnant women, newborns, infants and toddlers, medical authorities confirmed Tuesday. These include the CHC in Behta, Sarojni Nagar, and PHCs in Ujariyaon (Gomtinagar), Jankipuram, Nigohan, Qila Muhammadi, Poorab Gaon, and Neelmatha. The Lalbagh PHC has been shifted to Neelmatha, where a new Cold Chain facility will be established. Previously, these centers received vaccines from the District Cold Chain point in Aishbagh. Routine immunisation programs are conducted every Saturday and Wednesday at 54 urban CHCs, eight rural CHCs, and 12 PHCs.
