Lucknow, Sept. 29 -- Uttar Pradesh is set to host the Bharat Scouts and Guides National Jamboree after six decades, with preparations beginning on September 29. The Diamond Jubilee Grand Finale will be marked by a groundbreaking ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at the Defence Expo Ground, Vrindavan Yojana, where UP Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna will lay the foundation stone and unveil the logo and mascot of the 19th National Jamboree. A Tent City, to be completed within 55 days, will accommodate over 35,000 Scouts and Guides in 3,500 tents with 64 community kitchens, 1,600 toilets and bathrooms, a Jamboree Market, and an exhibition hall. The eco-friendly venue will feature a 100-bed hospital, 15 dispensaries, Wi-Fi, a control room, and a helpline. Participants will engage in adventure activities, cultural showcases, robotics, science exhibitions, and social service projects, highlighting leadership, discipline, and teamwork. The Jamboree will run from November 23 to 29 in Lucknow, likely to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 24 and concluded by President Droupadi Murmu on November 28.
