Lko police back deaf riders with ear stickers
LUCKNOW, Dec. 8 -- The Lucknow police led an awareness rally on Sunday, featuring 80 deaf two-wheeler riders, to encourage motorists to drive more cautiously around hearing-impaired commuters. The event began at KD Singh Babu Stadium crossing, where assistant commissioner of police (traffic) Satish Kumar Rai flagged off the riders displaying ear-symbol stickers on their vehicles to alert others to slow down and avoid honking.
Acting under the directive of the deputy commissioner of police (Traffic), officers briefed citizens on the purpose of the ear logo and requested extra caution whenever such vehicles are spotted. "Smoother roads and safer journeys are only possible when citizens recognise and respect the needs of every road user," said DCP Traffic Kamlesh Dixit.

Traffic personnel interacted with motorists and pedestrians during the programme, explaining the purpose of the ear logo. htc...
