LUCKNOW, Sept. 19 -- Time 4am: Nazar Mohammad Kazmi, a resident of Nanak Nagar in Muftiganj Chowk, came out of his slumber when the air conditioner of his room stopped all of a sudden. When he checked to see why the power supply was snapped, he was greeted by the 'Good Morning team' of the Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA), which had wrapped up his 'katia' connection besides imposing a heavy fine on him. Kazmi was also booked for power theft.

"We are saying 'Good Morning' to consumers who are using 'katia' connections to run heavy appliances. Our good morning campaign is to expose consumers who pilfer power," said Gyan Prakash, executive engineer, LESA (Chowk).
