Lucknow, Nov. 28 -- The Scouts and Guides who have participated in the 19th National Jamboree being organised at Defence Expo Ground are being inculcated with a sense of discipline with each passing day. Even before the break of the dawn, Scouts and Guides rise to get ready on time while also cleaning the surroundings of the tent, followed by performing BP 6 exercises - a set of six exercises for overall well-being and participating in flag-hoisting sessions followed by prayer and breakfast. Soon after breakfast, the tents are inspected by the leaders after which the Scouts and Guides participate in various adventurous and fun activities including rope cycling, rock climbing, zipline among others followed by lunch. Chitranshi Gautam (16), a Guide from Vrindavan and a student of Class 10 said that she learned the importance of utilising every minute of the day. "From waking up early at a whistle to doing all the chores from time to time we are learning to maintain discipline. We are also learning important survival skills like starting a fire and also helping others with various stuff," said Gautam. Pearl Dsilva (14) and Advaita Harle (14), friends from Mumbai said that the event is making them learn a lot of new things. "We are exploring activities, meeting new people and also attending various activities from time to time. We even queue up in a straight line while having our meals and taking care of all our belongings all by ourselves," said Dsilva. Similarly, Abhishek Pal (19), a Scout from Ratlam said that the event gave an opportunity to learn to lead a better life. "As a Scout I learned a particular manner of standing, walking, clapping and others. At the same time, I feel if somebody spends some time at such an event, they will end up learning for life. I enjoyed everything from archery to rope cycling and rock climbing," said Pal....
