LUCKNOW, June 13 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will construct a museum dedicated to renowned 19th century publisher Munshi Naval Kishore in the historic Amiruddaula Library at Qaiserbagh area. The project, worth approximately Rs 2 crore, aims to preserve the literary legacy and historical contributions of Naval Kishore through rare artefacts, old printing equipment, and interactive displays. LDA officials presented the project blueprint to divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob on Thursday. She directed that the museum be developed with a heritage look to allow visitors to connect with the city's cultural roots. The plan includes not only the creation of the museum but also the overall upgradation of the Amiruddaula Library to international standards. LDA vice chairman Prathamesh Kumar said Munshi Naval Kishore had established his printing press in 1858 and published over 5,000 books in multiple languages including Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Sanskrit, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, and English.
