LDA to deploy retired revenue officers to expedite residential projects
LUCKNOW, Sept. 28 -- Divisional commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant on Saturday directed to appoint retired revenue officers to speed up city's residential schemes. The instructions came during a high-level review meeting at Parijat Auditorium aimed at evaluating ongoing and upcoming development projects across the state capital.
Pant emphasised that any obstacles in acquiring land for new projects must be reported immediately so that swift action could be taken. "Retired revenue officials will be appointed to ensure land-related tasks are executed effectively and within deadlines," he said.
During the meeting, vice-chairman, Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), Prathamesh Kumar presented detailed updates on ongoing development and beautification initiatives in the city. Reports on proposed residential projects, including IT City, Wellness City, Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar, were reviewed in detail.
He also ordered a comprehensive inventory of all LDA properties in the city. He reviewed development works at Anant Nagar and Rashtriya Prerna Sthal. He directed that adequate parking facilities be arranged in advance at Prerna Sthal and called for proposals to construct multi-level parking near the site to accommodate increasing visitors.
Senior LDA officials, including secretary Vivek Srivastava, additional secretary Gyanendra Verma, attended the meeting.
All zonal and special officers besides engineers were also present in the meeting. Pant's directives reflect LDA's renewed focus on accelerating residential development while ensuring proper land management and tackling encroachments....
