lucknow, July 18 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will now approve mitigation maps under the new Model Building Construction and Development Bylaws-2025. LDA vice chairman Prathamesh Kumar issued the directive during a Janata Adalat held on Thursday, in response to complaints seeking to regularise old constructions under revised norms. The decision is expected to help those who undertook constructions earlier and now want to bring them under the ambit of the new rules. The authority has assigned specific targets to zonal officers for submitting mitigation maps to speed up the process and avoid delays. According to the revised bylaws, the state government has raised the permissible land coverage and Floor Area Ratio (FAR), offering relaxations in construction regulations. The vice chairman asked officials to approve both new building maps and pending mitigation maps. LDA has allocated the following targets for mitigation map submissions: Zone-1 (200), Zone-2 (220), Zone-3 (75), Zone-4 (100), Zone-5 (200), Zone-6 (75), and Zone-7 (100). In a separate direction, the vice chairman instructed officials to hold a home loan fair for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The decision followed a complaint by Mahendra Kumar Sharma of Adil Nagar, Gudamba, who alleged that banks refused to process his loan application despite the allotment of a PMAY house in the Basant Kunj Scheme....
