LDA extends registration deadline
LUCKNOW, May 4 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Saturday extended the registration deadline for its ambitious Anant Nagar housing scheme by two days. Applicants interested can now register for the scheme till May 5 instead of May 3, which was the previous deadline. Officials said the extension would give thousands of applicants additional time to complete the process.
Launched on April 4, the Anant Nagar scheme spans over 785 acres along Mohaan Road in the state capital and aims to provide housing to nearly 1.5 lakh people. The township is being developed with a mix of residential, commercial, and group housing options to cater to various income groups.
The LDA has planned 2,100 residential and 120 commercial plots in the scheme. Additionally, 60 plots have been allocated for group housing projects where over 10,000 flats will be constructed. The development authority will also build around 5,000 buildings under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) categories, offering homes to more than 25,000 people.
A section of the township will also feature housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
An official said that to support educational infrastructure within the area, the LDA is developing a 100-acre Education City offering residential facilities and hostels for around 10,000 students, faculty, and staff....
