LDA earns Rs 300 crore from property e-auction
LUCKNOW, Sept. 11 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) generated more than Rs 300 crore through its latest e-auction of residential and commercial properties, according to an official release on Wednesday.
Among the top deals were two school plots in Basantkunj scheme's Sector-N, each measuring 3,500 sq m, that fetched Rs 14 crore apiece. A 5,500 sq m commercial plot in the Central Business District, reserved at Rs 51 crore, was sold for Rs 76 crore, making it one of the biggest transactions of the auction.
Officials said investors pushed bids to nearly three times the reserve price.
According to additional secretary Gyanendra Verma, a total of 50 properties were sold in the exercise.
For the first time, six plots in the Transport Nagar scheme were also auctioned, stated the LDA release....
