Lawyers block road outside IG office, seek action against P'garh SHO
PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 7 -- A group of lawyers staged a protest on Friday afternoon, blocking the road outside the Inspector General of Police's office, demanding action against the station house officer (SHO) of Maheshganj police station in Pratapgarh. Protesting another case, the lawyers alleged negligence by the Civil Lines police, claiming that despite an FIR against a tyre businessman for assaulting lawyers, the accused had not been arrested.
