Law and order, welfare schemes have transformed UP: Narendra
Prayagraj, April 13 -- Uttar Pradesh minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Divyangjan Empowerment (Independent Charge), Narendra Kashyap on Sunday said improvements in law and order and welfare schemes have accelerated the state's development, while criticising the previous Samajwadi Party regime.
At a press briefing, he said over 10 lakh students have received scholarships, with increased budget support and extended application timelines. He added that pensions for Divyang beneficiaries have been raised from Rs.1,000 to Rs.1,500 for 2025-26. Kashyap claimed crime is under control and alleged that earlier governments failed to maintain order. He said the government aims to ensure transparency and extend welfare benefits to all sections.
