Mussoorie, July 19 -- Light to moderate rainfall was experienced in various parts of the state in the past twenty-four hours till 8.30 am on Friday morning, resulting in the closure of 82 roads due to landslides triggered by overnight rains . The state recorded 5.6 mm, in the past twenty-four hours till 8.30 am on Friday. Dehradun recorded 19 mm of rainfall, marking a 12% excess compared to its normal of 17 mm. In contrast, several districts experienced a rainfall shortfall, with Pauri Garhwal and Haridwar being particularly dry, with both districts recording 91% shortfall from normal, receiving only 1.1 mm and 0.9 mm of rain, respectively. Nainital received 3 mm of rain while Pithoragarh, recorded 3.4 mm of rain. Bageshwar and Uttarkashi both registered a 60% less rain, Chamoli a 66% shortfall, and Rudraprayag a 67% shortfall. Almora and Champawat also saw substantial deviations, with 43% and 54% shortfall, respectively. Only Tehri Garhwal showed a relatively smaller shortfall of 7%....
