Land seller abducted in front of land registry office, two kin of buyer shot at
PRAYAGRAJ, July 22 -- Unidentified miscreants kidnapped a person who had arrived at the land registration office to sell his land in Patti tehsil of Pratapgarh on Monday afternoon. The miscreants also opened fire on the buyer of the land and his associates. Two relatives of the buyer were injured in the firing which also created chaos on the registry office premises.
After the incident the attackers fled the spot.
On receiving information, CO (Kotwali) accompanied by police of four police stations, ASP (East) and SP Pratapgarh reached the spot. In the incident, a former minister's close aide and a block pramukh and his associates are accused of kidnapping the land seller besides opening fire.As per reports, Jagannath Vishwakarma of Aurain village reached in his car at 1:10 pm on Monday to register his 1.5 biswa land. Also, the buyer of the land, Brijesh Tiwari, resident of Akaripur under Aaspur Devsara police station area, arrived along with his relatives at the registration office. Some people in a car forcibly made Jagannath, the seller, sit in their vehicle. When some people came forward to stop them, the kidnappers started firing at them. One Arun was shot below the waist after which he fell down while Prem Shankar was shot in the leg. The shooters fled from the site of the incident.
On receiving information, CO Manoj Raghuvanshi also reached along with Patti Kotwali police and sent the injured to CHC for treatment.htc...
