LUCKNOW, Oct. 26 -- Lamartiniere Girls College and Navayuga Radiance stormed into the girls team championship final of the Ekana 16th Lucknow Inter-School Table Tennis Championship, notching up contrasting wins, at the Ekana Table Tennis Academy here on Saturday. The event also marked the official launching of the Ekana Table Tennis Academy at the Ekana Sportz City, which also houses Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, B Cricket Ground, Ekana Tennis Facility and Lucknow Falcons Football Academy. Lamartiniere Girls College beat LPS, LDA Colony by 2-0. Swasti Chandra beat Avantika 11-2, 11-7 in the first singles, whereas Somya Chandra beat Aradhya 11-3, 11-1 in the second singles, Navayuga Radiance beat Seth Anandram Jaipuria by 2-1 in the second semi-final. Though Vartika Singh beat Medura Singh 11-7, 11-9 to give winners 1-0 lead, Amaya Singh defeated Bhargavi 12-10, 7-11, 6-11 to restore parity at 1-all.
