LUCKNOW, Oct. 27 -- Lakshya Kumar of Career Convent and Sakshi Tiwari of Mount Carmel School won the boys and girls singles titles of the Ekana 16th Lucknow Inter-School Table Tennis Championship, at the Ekana Table Tennis Academy here on Friday. Kumar brushed aside Shaurya Goel of SMR Jaipuria 11-7, 11-8 in straight games in the boys final, before Tiwari defeated Swasti Chandra of Lamartiniere Girls College in the girls singles final 11-7, 11-7. Favourites Lamartiniere Girls College beat Navayuga Radiance 2-0 to win the girls team championship, whereas Career Convent beat CMS, Gomti Nagar 2-0 in the boys team championship final. Swasti Chandra beat Vartika Singh 7-11, 11-3, 11-2 to put Lamartiniere Girls College into 1-0 lead in the girls team championship final before Somya Chandra beat Bhargavi Tripathi 11-6, 11-4 also in straight games to complete the formality. In the boys team championship final, Harshit beat Arnav Chandra 13-11, 11-7 and Lakshya Kumar beat Pranit Agarwal 11-7, 9-11, 11-7. The boys under-10 title went to Varshasva Agarwal, who defeated Harshit 9-11, 11-8, 11-5, whereas in the under-10 girls category, Anaisha Mathur beat Sloka 11-6, 11-6....
