Lucknow, Nov. 21 -- More than 20 lakh visitors came to Kushinagar in the first month of 2025. The rise is linked to growing spiritual interest. It is also due to better outreach and stronger global attention on Uttar Pradesh's Buddhist circuit. From January to October 2025, a total of 2,14,684 foreign tourists visited Kushinagar. Officials expect the total number of visitors to cross 25 lakh by December. If this happens, Kushinagar will record its highest ever annual footfall.
