LUCKNOW, March 23 -- Team India cricketer Kuldeep Yadav on Sunday showered praise on the newly developed Railway Loco Ground in Kanpur being run by the JK Group under the watchful guidance of Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement Ltd. Yadav, who was part of the T20 World Cup Indian side, said that he was delighted to see the facilities for the game at the venue. "It's a wonderfully developed ground in Kanpur and I am happy to see such great facilities for sport here," Yadav said as he was there to play a match on Sunday before joining IPL side Delhi Capitals for the new season, starting March 28. Uttam Kesarwani, who takes care of the stadium, said that Yadav in his video message admired the quality of wickets, both made of red and black soils. "There are about 10-11 wickets here and practice pitches are also being prepared at the back. A big credit for this goes to Paritosh Bhai, Sunil Bhai, and Deepankar Bhai, who have maintained this and provided such great facilities," Yadav said in his message. "I am sure that in the coming days, one will see Under-14, Under-16, Under-19, and even senior-level matches being played here. It's a very good achievement for Kanpur cricket. I want the youngsters here to come, play matches, and enjoy these facilities," he further said. Uttar Pradesh's Chinmay Dev Chauhan and Vansh Yadav on Sunday secured spots in the main draw of the AITA Men's Tournament following victories in their qualifying matches. The tournament, featuring a prize purse of Rs.1 lakh, is being organized by the SDS Tennis Academy at the La Martiniere Lawn Tennis Facility. In the final round of the qualifiers held on Sunday, Chinmay defeated Yash 6-0, 6-0, while Vansh Yadav beat Akshit 6-1, 6-3. With these results, Delhi's Ricky Chaudhary; Haryana's Sunil Kumar and Harsh; Punjab's Jasraj; Kerala's Kaushik and Rajasthan's Amit have also successfully advanced to the main draw.
