LUCKNOW, Oct. 9 -- A sparkling century by Amartya Krishna helped Lamar Tinier College (LTC) crush DPS Eldeco by 267 runs in a league match of the 23rd Avinash Chandra Chaturvedi Memorial Inter-School Tournament here on Wednesday. Krishna smacked 55-ball 176 with the help of nine boundaries and a record 21 sixes as LTC piled up 325/6 in 20 overs. Opener sooraj struck 25-ball 70 with the help of two boundaries and 10 sixes. In reply, DPS could make just 58 in 15.1 overs. Aridaman Pratap took 4/7, whereas Soham Bhargava and Vivaaan Singh took two wickets each. In another match of the day, St Joseph College trounced St Mary's School by 143 runs. SJC scored 205/4 while batting first after winning the toss with the help of Aarav Mishra's 44-ball 70. In reply, SMC kept losing wickets on a regular interval before being bowled out for 62 in 13.5 overs. Earlier, Unity College beat LPS by 11 runs in yet another league encounter. Former champions Dainik Jagran got off to a fine start in the Media T20 Tournament, notching up a thrilling three-run win over Accredited Journalists' X here on Wednesday. DJ made 122/4 with the help of Prahlad Singh (41) and Ankur Dixit (37). In reply, Vimalesh Kumar (3 wkts) guided DJ to win the match by three runs even though Ashish Bajpai struck an unbeaten 79 for the rivals....
