KANPUR, Aug. 12 -- A 26-year-old man, who was the prime suspect in the double murder of a transgender woman Kajal, 25, and her 12-year-old adopted son Dev in Kanpur's Hanumant Vihar area a couple of days ago, was found dead in an apparent suicide in a hotel room in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday morning, police said. According to DIG, Rewa range, Rajesh Chandel, hotel staff in Satna grew suspicious when repeated calls to the man's room went unanswered. Police were alerted and after forced entry into the room, they found the man's body there. "The police found upon him a suicide note," Chandel said . "It read that he was romantically involved with Kajal and that he murdered her and the boy Dev in Kanpur," he added. DIG Chandel confirmed that Kanpur Police had been informed of the development.
