LAKHIMPUR KHERI, Dec. 14 -- In a move aimed at boosting morale and improving work efficiency of employees, chief development officer (CDO) Abhishek Kumar has decided to observe "Karmachari Divas" (Employees' Day) on the 15th working day of every month to address employees' grievances. According to Kumar, he received complaints and grievances from employees on a daily basis regarding their service-related matters, including arrear payments, increments, and assured career promotions. In some cases, it was observed that these matters remained pending due to delays on the part of their superiors. CDO Abhishek Kumar said that in view of this, he came up with the idea of holding a fortnightly "Karmachari Divas" to address such issues and grievances. After due consultation, he decided to implement the initiative from December 15 at the Vikas Bhawan premises.
