LUCKNOW, Aug. 11 -- King George's Medical University (KGMU) will establish an Investigation Revolving Fund (IRF) Centre on its premises. This initiative aims to make pathological tests more affordable for patients by reducing the cost of reagents, which play a crucial role in determining test prices, stated KGMU authorities on Sunday. The IRF centre will be set up in the RLC building, which has been vacated by the orthopedics department after it relocated to a new super-specialty centre. The primary objective of the IRF centre is to procure reagents at a lower cost, similar to how medicines are bought, thereby making pathological tests more affordable for patients, stated Dr KK Singh, media cell in charge, KGMU.
