KGMU plans Rs 150-crore paramedical college
LUCKNOW, Oct. 17 -- King George's Medical University (KGMU) is set to establish a new paramedical college on a 1.8-acre plot recently cleared of encroachments. Initial project estimates are ready and will soon be submitted to the government for approval, officials said on Thursday.
A detailed building map outlining infrastructure and facilities is also being prepared.
Dean of paramedical studies, Prof KK Singh, said the project will cost around Rs 150 crore. The college will feature an 11-floor central building housing administrative and academic offices.
Separate three-floor hostels for boys and girls will accommodate 300 students each. Boundary wall construction has begun, and building work will start once government approval is obtained.
The college aims to provide high-quality education and training across various paramedical disciplines, meeting the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals.
Equipped with modern facilities and experienced faculty, the college will prepare students for successful careers in healthcare, maintaining KGMU's reputation for excellence.
Officials said the new institution will be among the largest paramedical colleges in India and is expected to become a hub for healthcare education in the region, contributing significantly to the development of trained medical personnel....
