Lucknow, May 25 -- The stories penned by four students from four different Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) have been selected as the best in a state-wide story writing competition organised on the topic of climate change. The selected schools will soon be honoured at the state level, an official said. More than 580 entries were received for this state-wide competition. After evaluation, 18 best stories were shortlisted, out of which four schools were awarded the top state-level prizes. The first prize went to KGBV Muradnagar, Ghaziabad, the second prize to KGBV Gaunra, Kanpur Dehat, the third prize to KGBV Muftiganj, Jaunpur, and the fourth prize to KGBV Deva, Barabanki. The story writing activity conducted in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas of UP provided the students a unique opportunity to understand environmental challenges and express them in their own words. htc...
