PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 8 -- A sexagenarian woman and her son were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their home in Kaushambi district's Bara Haveli Khalsa village on Sunday morning, police said. The woman was identified to be 65 years old, while her son was 47 years old, they added. The mother-son duo were alone at their residence at the time of the incident. The cause of their death is unclear and the bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination. SP Rajesh Kumar said duo seem to have died by suicide and further probe into the incident is in progress. Some fraudsters allegedly duped a man of Rs 8 lakh on pretext of getting him a job. As per reports, Dibyaraj Singh of Labdi Ka Purwa in Pratapgarh stated in his police complaint that on April 28, Raj Singh, alias Tushar Singh, and his friend Saurabh Kashyap, demanded Rs 8 lakh from him and assured him of a job in the Indian Army. He claimed that he sold his farm and paid them Rs 7.50 lakh. Later, they allegedly backtracked and threatened to kill him. Based on Dibyaraj's complaint, the police have registered a case and further probe is underway. Karchana Police on Sunday arrested another accused Gagan Tiwari who was wanted in the murder of an army jawan Vivek Singh, 28, and later sent him to jail, said Karchana SHO Anoop Saroj. Five accused, including a policeman, an army man, and an advocate, are already in jail in connection with the incident. The names of accused Gagan Tiwari alias Ashish Tiwari, and Kali Yadav emerged during the investigation.
