India, Aug. 9 -- The Kakori train action is an unforgettable event that proved to be a milestone in Indian history. A few days before it, revolutionaries had planned this operation in Lucknow, and they prepared their entire strategy while staying at the century-old Chedi Lall Dharamshala in Aminabad here. I received this information from my father and some details from my grandfather. Before carrying out the action, revolutionaries thoroughly understood the place they had to target. Interestingly, on August 8, Ram Prasad Bismil had planned to carry out the first action, but it was unsuccessful as the train had already left the station by the time they reached. Eight to nine revolutionaries were involved in this attempt. However, very few people know about this. But the very next day, they successfully carried out the train action, which shook the British. This action sparked new enthusiasm among the youth and many young people joined the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA). Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, Thakur Roshan Singh and Rajendra Nath Lahiri were sentenced to death by the British government. It's unfortunate that people have forgotten the sacrifices made by these revolutionaries and the need to adopt their ideals and thoughts. I am proud to be the grandson of a revolutionary and had the privilege of being in their company from my birth till their death, for 12 years. There's a lot to say, but words fall short. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat, Vande Mataram!...
