Juvenile offender taken into police protection
LUCKNOW, Feb. 23 -- Para police here have taken a 17-year-old juvenile offender into protection for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl and later assaulting the victim's family members, police said on Sunday.
According to police, the incident occurred on February 21 within the Para police station limits. "The accused reportedly raped the minor, following which the victim's mother approached the accused's home to lodge a protest. In response, the juvenile along with his family members allegedly entered the victim's residence, abused and physically assaulted the mother to deter her from taking any legal action," said SHO Para Suresh Singh.
"Based on the written complaint from the victim's family, an FIR was registered at Para police station under sections 65(2), 115(2), 351(3), 352, 333, 191(2), 324(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sections 5M/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act," a police press note said.
Acting on a tip-off on Sunday, the police team took the 17-year-old in their protection from under the Alamnagar bridge. "Further legal proceedings are underway as per the Juvenile Justice Act and other relevant provisions," SHO said.
Jankipuram police in Lucknow on Sunday arrested from Madiaon a 25-year-old man accused of luring a woman, admin- istering intoxicants, forcibly confining her in his house and repeatedly having physical relations with her while threatening her and her family members.
The case came to light after a complaint was received from a court on December 30, 2025.
"An FIR was registered at Jankipuram police station under sections 115(2), 351(2), 118(2), 87, 333, 64, and 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Suraj Shukla, son of Kaushal Shukla alias Raju Shukla," said a police press note.
"Police are collecting details of the accused's criminal history from other stations and districts. Further investigation is underway as per legal provisions," the press note added. htc...
