Journos' families showcase talent
PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 11 -- The Allahabad News Reporters Club, under its Pahal initiative, organised a painting, mehendi and rangoli contests on Sunday, drawing participation from families of journalists. The event, held at Bishop Johnson School and College, saw 192 students competing in the painting category, while 105 women showcased their creativity in mehendi and rangoli contests. Former president of the club Ratan Dixit inaugurated the event. In the painting contest (Group A), Samriddh Mishra secured the first position, followed by Toshika Mishra and Kavya Srivastava. In Group B, Devanshi Mishra and Aditi Srivastava shared the top spot, followed by Ritik Khare and Aviral Srivastava in second, and Nivedita Tripathi in third position. In Group C, Navya Jaiswal emerged victorious, while Vaishnavi Jaiswal and Rashi Sharma shared the second place, and Divyanshi Rai ended third.
In the mehendi competition, Sonam Mishra bagged the first prize, followed by Sarita Srivastava and Deeksha Mishra. The rangoli competition saw Ruby Jaiswal clinch the top position, with Poonam Chaudhary and Sakshi Keserwani being second and third, respectively. The winners will be felicitated during the club's Independence Day celebration on August 15....
